Getting Started
Nico & Iren
2019
Our story began in August 2019 through WhatsApp. At the time, Nico was in Banjarbaru for an internship, while Iren was studying in Malang. As time went by, our communication grew more frequent and meaningful.
In September 2019, Nico visited Malang and we finally met in person. That meeting brought us even closer.
2020
After months of growing closer as friends, on February 15, 2020, during a trip to Surabaya to take a friend to the airport, Nico confessed his feelings to Iren. On the way back, Iren said yes — and from that day forward, we began a new chapter as a couple.
2021
We took a more serious step in our relationship by exchanging rings as a symbol of our commitment and dedication to one another.
2022
This year came with its challenges. The passing of Nico’s father, unstable finances, and uncertain job situations tested our strength. But through it all, we learned and grew together — and these trials became a meaningful part of our journey.
2023
Obstacles continued to arise, but our trust and commitment only grew stronger. We held on to each other through it all, and our bond deepened as we proved our love time and time again.
2024
As things gradually improved, we felt ready to take the next big step. With the blessing of our families, we decided to move forward towards a more serious commitment.
2025
With confidence and joy in our hearts, we’ve chosen to unite in a sacred marriage before God — committing ourselves to one another for life, and stepping into the future hand in hand.
